Class Schedule

We’re in a process of editing this site. So in a nutshell, this first section here is the reliable schedule (which you’ll also find simply by clicking on ‘Yoga’ in the menu bar above. (you can ignore the calendar formats for now on this site)

Mondays 11-12 pm Gentle Yoga at the Chaplin Senior Center- chair, standing, and on your back yoga (no hands and knees poses). A beautiful class to gently care for your well-being with a meditative focus. Offering steadiness, calm strength, joint health, balance, a peaceful mind, core strength, breathwork, and postural care in a kind and welcoming atmosphere of flowing with your body’s needs and sensations toward health. 132 Chaplin St, Chaplin CT. $8-10 per class, drop-ins welcome!

Tuesdays 6:30-8pm Moderate Therapeutic Yoga for fully embodied resilient health. Community Class, dropping-in welcome! Suggested contribution for class is $15-20, or whatever you can pay that is in the peaceful flow of your life is welcome. No one turned away, so please tend to your financial needs with love, as we care for you body, heart, mind and spirit. This class is focused on alignment, postural strength, brightening the mind of awareness, strengthening heart presence, full range of motion, breathwork, respiratory health, balance, balanced well-being, and building peace…  57 Hunting Lodge Rd. Storrs CT.

Thursdays 4-5pm Gentle Yoga, on your back yoga for deep calm, online only. This class is a free offering to cancer patients and cancer survivors, and yet ALL are welcome, as there are many healing benefits to gentle yoga for anyone. Incredibly gentle rejuvenating class, focused on the renewal of your nervous system, the health of your body, the strengthening of mind, the release of fear and the embracing of love as a way of life… a passage forward whether you’re recovering from surgery, an injury, deep grief, an illness, or simply needing to find the personal care and agency of moving forward with Love in a painful situation.

Fridays 8:30-10am Moderate Prana Yoga for strength and graceful well-being. A Community Class, dropping-in welcome! Suggested contribution for class is $15-20, or whatever you can pay that is in the peaceful flow of your life is welcome. Mondays 7:05-8:00am – Breathwork and Meditation, online only – a beginning of the week practice to tune ourselves toward our best health – specifically learning and deepening breath work techniques, meditative focus, a loving orientation toward life that strengthens our heart awareness and heart capacity, and uplifts your vital life force. This class is a simple approach that builds over time. It is patient and quiet. Perhaps light a candle, or in the warm weather settle yourself outside, to listen and tend to yourself in this peaceful practice together.

All classes delight in Beginners to Yoga and offer deepening options for those more practiced. Moderate classes are full of options for your best practice of the day. Cancer survivors/thrivers have one free class per week with me (except at the Chaplin Senior Center)

All classes are trauma aware: tending to the calm embodied strength of your nervous system, building deep capacity to hold even the most painful emotions with compassion, reclaiming joy and agency for loving and living this precious life with grounded care in deepening self trust and intuition. Free Yoga for Cancer Patients and Cancer Survivors and Thrivers @ Windham Hospital

Location: Before the pandemic we were located at Windham Hospital, 112 Mansfield Ave, Willimantic CT – Hatch entrance and hope to be back there soon.  For now, this is a zoom only class. Live-streamed and you are most welcome to join in!  Please email me for the zoom info at seaofsadhana@gmail.com

This class is the gentlest class I teach.  We’re on your back for an hour, in deep breath, in meditative peace building presence of mind, and movements that support and nourish your immune system, spinal health, hip flexibility, release of tension, full body vitality, digestive strength, core strength, joint circulation, heart ease, and more. Please join in as often as you can!  A regular yoga practice is preventative to disease of mind and body, and creates a constancy of deep health building skills for daily life.

Friday Morning Yoga session: 

This class is beginning again as an IN-Person class, simultaneously live-streamed on zoom.

This is a Community Yoga Class of a moderate level practice with options go deeper and options to ease up, always with a meditative breath focused experience.

Sometimes we need to heat up and open the body physically while breathing ourselves into presence and growth edges and sometimes we need to be tenderly present with gentleness while breathing ourselves into compassion, and all kinds of mixtures of both and everything in-between.  Please come and join us!

Gentle Yoga in Chaplin, CT- this class is open to anyone, any age, wishing for a truly gentle yoga experience that energizes, revitalizes and heals. In this class we do yoga postures in chairs, standing, and lying down on your back.  If you need special accommodations, I’m happy to help you modify the practice and make it work in a healing and renewing way for you! Tuesdays 4:30-5:30pm – Therapeutic Yoga Fundamentals-

This class is open to anyone who wishes to go a little slower and practice with more detail and care.  Yoga enriches your self-care and your daily living with deeper rest and renewed vibrancy, increased body intelligence and gentle peaceful well-being. In this class we’re open to all the different working positions: on the floor on your back, on hands and knees, kneeling, standing, belly down poses, inversions.  For a class that does not give pressure to knees and wrists please try the gentle 11am  Monday class or the gentle Thursday 4pm class.

We used to be at the Windham Hospital- Hatch entrance, Integrative Health room and hopefully will be back soon.

Cost for class on zoom is $12-$15 per class or whatever works peacefully for your budget. Please join in as often as you can!  A regular yoga practice helps us maintain beautiful health and is wonderfully preventative to modern day illness and discomfort.

Tuesday Evening Yoga Class @ Friend’s Meeting House

An on-going community class – no registration required.  In-person simultaneously live-streamed on zoom!

Time/Day:  Tuesday evenings,  6:30-8:00pm, with optional 20 minute meditation at the end of class for those who wish to stay.

Location:  Friend’s Meeting House, 57 Hunting Lodge Rd, Storrs, CT, 06268.

A deeply focused community yoga practice. Please come to honor and care for your body, practice the skills of mental clarity and peaceful mind, transform the flow and quality of your energy, nurture your emotional health and resiliency, explore your inner world, refresh and renew.

All levels of practice welcome, Beginners welcome. Always there are options to deepen and options to ease off and modify.

You can just show up for any Tuesday evening class whenever it works for you.

Suggested contribution for the above class: $15 -$20, however please pay the amount that works for your budget peacefully and joyfully. Please come and enjoy often!
